Departing from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport
Toronto's Billy Bishop City Airport (YTZ) is conveniently located just minutes from downtown Toronto, on an island just off Bathurst Street. There are several ways to reach the airport terminal:
- By Ferry: Take one of the world's shortest ferry rides from the foot of Brathurst Street (only 127 meters!). The ride is free if you're traveling by foot, or $11 if you need to take your car.
- By Foot: There is a pedestrian tunnel located on the mainland pavilion. It is free to enter and you'll reach the airport's check-in desk in about 6 minutes.
- By Shuttle: A free shuttle service runs every 15 minutes from 5:00 AM (5:30 on Sundays and holidays) to 12:00 AM from the ferry's terminal building or just across the street from Union Station, on the corner of York and Front.

Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) is one of the United States' busiest airports, located 20 miles southwest of Detroit's city center. It's a very large airport, so be sure to pay attention to the overhead signs to find your baggage, move through American Customs, and make your way to the exit.
To get to your hotel, consider taking a taxi (approximately $50 to downtown Detroit, plus a $10 airport surcharge) or renting a car through Skyscanner. There are also SMART busses available on the lower level of the north terminal that can take you to a variety of locations within Detroit. The bus station is labeled "Ground Transportation Office".

You'll need to pay a $7 immigration fee to board your flight to the United States.
