Finding cheap flights from Sault Ste Marie to Toronto Pearson International: Frequently asked questions
You might have heard of the famous Sault (pronounced “soo”) Locks, that connect three of the biggest Great Lakes, or the International Bridge that leads straight to Michigan. A quiet village with a long history that goes back to the Fur Trade, this is one of the biggest communities in Western Ontario, which actually isn't saying much. The location at the edge of a wide-open, unchartered wilderness is at the center of its charm.
Western Ontario is a vast and mostly underpopulated area, which surprises those who are more used to the bustling metropolis of Toronto and its suburbs. Those that take this route might be heading back to work or school from a family visit or returning to the big city from the cottage or fishing lodge on the lake. The Soo, as it is often called, is more modern than most people give it credit for, with a wide variety of solar and wind farms currently in use or development, an interesting turn-around for a city that was founded on fur and maintained on mining.

Toronto Airport Information
Similar to other busy transportation hubs in places like London and New York, Toronto has several airports that serve a substantial population that’s always on the move. The design of Toronto Pearson International (YYZ) makes catching a connecting flight, transferring airports, or hooking up with ground transport efficient and easy.
YYZ is based on an open concept, one terminal design. Flights and gates are organized according to airline alliance memberships rather than conventional division, like domestic or international flights. That means your regional flight from Sault Ste. Marie, courtesy of Air Canada, arrives in Terminal 1 with the other Star Alliance members. This terminal is fully equipped to organize connecting passengers, travelers that need customs screenings, or those that have reached their destination and are looking for ground transportation. Terminal 1 is closer to the 8-story parking garage, and you can easily transfer to Terminal 3 via the ThyssenKrupp Express Walkway. There are shuttles available to take you to other airports, even those in Detroit or New York State.
