Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR), known informally as Puerto Vallarta International Airport, is located 8 km from Puerto Vallarta. As Puerto Vallarta is mainly a beach vacation destination, the airport is busiest during the winter months.

Saskatoon John G. Diefenbaker International Airport (YXE), better known as Saskatoon International Airport, is located about ten minutes by car from downtown Saskatoon. The airport also goes by the name Skyxe Saskatoon Airport or just Skyxe. The airport consists of one terminal. An airport expansion, completed in 2014, doubled the size of the old passenger terminal.

The main level of the terminal houses arrivals and baggage claim. There are also service counters for taxis, hotel shuttles and car rentals. Car rental options include Alamo, Enterprise and Hertz. If you just need a regular taxi, United Blueline Cabs can be found at the curb outside of arrivals. The downtown core is also accessible by public transit.

What to Expect in Saskatoon

Puerto Vallarta is one hour ahead of Saskatoon, so you won't experience much of a time shift.
