Flights to North America, including Toronto, generally leave from Terminal 2B. However, if the first leg of your flight connects through a European country then there is a good chance that it will leave from Terminal 2A. If you arrive at the wrong terminal, don't fret, as they are close together and it is easy to walk from one to the other. Aside from a couple cafes, there aren't many amenities prior to security. However, once you clear passport control you will immediately find yourself in the middle of a large duty-free store, which connects Terminals 2A and 2B. Both Terminals have numerous dining and shopping options and if you head up to the mezzanine level you will find many restaurants, a terrace, and a number of lounges.

Landing in Toronto Pearson International

If you are flying with Air Canada or another Star Alliance airline then you will land at Terminal 1. Oneworld and SkyTeam airlines land at the older Terminal 3. Perhaps the fastest and most convenient way to get to downtown is to take the Union Pearson Express,  which is a train service linking Terminal 1 with Toronto's downtown Union Station (with some stops in between). A taxi is also a convenient option, although more expensive and it may get stuck in traffic during rush hour. Alternatively, renting a car is a good option, especially if you plan on spending a lot of time either in Toronto's sprawling suburbs or further afield.

Toronto is Canada's largest city and one of the most ethnically diverse in the world, with more than half of the population having been born abroad. It is this diversity that makes Toronto's neighbourhoods, such as Chinatown, Little Italy, and the Danforth, the city's best attractions. Toronto is also home to two world-class museums, the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Royal Ontario Museum. The city's most prominent attraction is the CN Tower, North America's tallest freestanding structure with views all the way to New York state. For a day trip, a visit to Niagara Falls, about an hour's drive away, should not be missed.
