Like many Southeast Asian countries, Myanmar is hot and dry for most of the year, but the summer months are spiked with frequent torrential rains.  Try to book your flight to Yangon between November and March, when it is usually comfortably warm and dry.  From March until May Yangon stays dry, but temperatures regularly rise to more than forty degrees Celsius. Come June the rainy season begins, and the showers rarely stop until the end of October.  A visit in February or March may align with the city's annual Shwedagon Festival, which is full of food, music, theatre and dancing, while the Burmese New Year usually falls in the middle of April.  Once you decide on your preferred travel dates, set up a Skyscanner price alert to receive an instant notification when airfares to Yangon drop in price.
