El Alto International Airport (LPB), also known as La Paz LPB, is one of Bolivia's busiest international airports with over a million passengers served per year. LPB is located within El Alto and about 13 km from La Paz, both of which are in the top three most populous cities in the country.

El Alto is linked to nearby La Paz by Mi Teleférico, a public transit system which consists of aerial cable cars. The ride only takes about 20 minutes but will give you a spectacular view of both cities. Once in La Paz, there are many other amazing tourist attractions to visit, like the breathtaking Iglesia de San Francisco and the Valley of the Moon rock formation.
