What to Expect When Arriving at Mumbai Airport
Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is located 30 km from the city center. You can get there using a prepaid taxi, an autorickshaw (mini taxi), or the train. These transportation options are all available at Terminal 2. A prepaid taxi into town costs around 680 rupees, and takes an hour in the evenings. Autorickshaws cost 18 rupees per km, but will only take you as far south as Bandra. Finally, the train is available during the daytime. You'll need to rent an autorickshaw to get to Andheri station, and then board the CST or Churchgate train, which will arrive in Mumbai's core after 45 minutes. The fare is quite low at 10 rupees.
