NJ Transit Buses 28, 37, 62, 67, and 107 also serve the airport. Buses located outside Level 1 of Terminal A by stop 5 travel to Grand Central Station. Buses located outside Level 1 of Terminal B by stop 2 go between the airport and Bryant Park. If you want to travel to and from the NJ Transit Bus terminal, you will find that bus stop outside Level 1 of Terminal C at bus stops 5 and 6.

For those who wish to rent a car for traveling in the area, most of the major rental car agencies serve Newark Liberty International Airport. You will find counters in the ground transportation area for Avis, Budget, Hertz, Dollar, Enterprise, Payless, National, Alamo, Thrifty, and Advantage. Taxis are also available. As of 2016, you will pay about $15 to $18 to get to the city of Newark. Fares to Manhattan run between $50 and $75 depending on the part of the city to which you are headed.

If you choose to travel to and from Newark International Airport via a shared-ride van or private car, you can make reservations ahead of time.
