Viru Viru International Airport has served international and domestic guests since 1983, functioning as the major gateway to Bolivia and as a hub for the Boliviana de Aviación airline. The airport is built on a one-terminal concept and all gates are relatively close to one another. Once you arrive at the airport, you can go to Santa Cruz either by taking a taxi or getting on the local bus. Taxis cost 45-60 BOB (around CA $11) and the bus is 4.50 BOB (Less than CA $1), which will get you to the city in about 30 minutes.
