Cheap Flights from Toronto to Nice
Departing from Toronto
Flights from Toronto to Nice depart from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). At present, no direct flights are available, so travelers need to connect through another major international airport. Popular options include flying with Air Transat through Montreal, with Lufthansa through Munich, or with KML through Amsterdam. Many of these flights depart in the evening and arrive in Nice the next day, maximizing travelers' time on the French Riviera. Skyscanner's flight search tools allow you to sort and filter available flights by price, duration, number of connections and even preferred airline.
Your departure terminal and gate at Toronto Pearson International Airport will depend on your chosen airline. A free Terminal Link train runs between both of the airport's terminals and the parking area, approximately every five minutes. While you wait for your flight you can visit one of the airport's currency exchange offices to trade your Canadian dollars for some euros, or enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants helmed by local celebrity chefs, like Boccone Trattoria Veloce and Marathi.
Arriving in Nice
The Nice Airport (NCE) is only seven kilometres southwest of Nice's city centre. It consists of two separate terminals on opposite sides of the airport parking lot. Your arrival terminal will depend on your connecting city, and a free shuttle bus links the two terminals.
After showing your passport at French immigration, claiming your bags, and passing through customs, you will exit into the airports public areas. Here, you will find more currency exchange offices, ATMs and rental car services. Popular modes of transportation into Nice include the regular airport shuttle buses (#98 goes along the waterfront and through the city's Old Town, while #99 heads more directly to the main railway station) and regional trains from the nearby Nice St. Augustin train station. Disregard any locals who suggest walking into the city center; if you're not comfortable using public transportation then a private taxi is preferable.
