Region of Waterloo International Airport, also known as Kitchener/Waterloo Airport, is part of Toronto's airport system. Kitchener/Waterloo to Calgary flights leave here daily all year. This small airport has one terminal. The building has four gates — two domestic departures, one domestic arrival, and one international. There is a licensed sit-down café available to travellers with a valid boarding pass. Wi-Fi and baggage carts are complimentary.

The Rental Car Centre is on the Departures level across the roadway from the main terminal building. During fall and winter, the markets are a great place to shop. Meanwhile, Gasoline Alley is a museum of antique cars and trucks. Then there's Calgary Tower, at 191 m tall and offering views of Calgary and the Canadian Rockies. And of course there's the Calgary Zoo, which includes the Prehistoric Park that features the region's history as dinosaur territory.
