Each gate has its own security checkpoints, so make sure to leave about 45 minutes between connecting flights for going through security.
Terminal A is a hexagonal concourse with a parking area, taxi stands, and bus stops in its centre. The area before security has an apothecary, a currency exchange, a hair salon, luggage storage, and a number of lounges. Passengers can also find books at Pocket Shop and chocolate treats at Leysieffer Confiserie. Terminal D has a Visitors Terrace for plane spotting from the roof. Admission is €2 (CA$2.87) for adults and €1 (CA$1.43) for children 12 and under.
Terminal C has the only transit zone for connecting passengers at the airport, and it has a duty-free store after security. Smaller planes use Terminal D, and Terminal C and D both have Relay stores for any last-minute needs. There are plenty of restaurants in Terminal A and C before and after security, and coffee and beer are available as well. The airport is only about 8 km away from Berlin.

Air Canada, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines, United Airlines use Terminal 1 at Toronto Pearson International Airport. This is the largest terminal, and it has more restaurants and stores than many shopping centres, including Aveda or MAC Cosmetics to refresh oneself. There are also excellent bars and luxury stores like Swarovski and Burberry. Aer Lingus, Air France, British Airways, Delta, and Icelandair use Terminal 3. It also has plenty of shopping and dining options, like Beerhive for craft beer or Freshii for healthy meals on the go. Both terminals offer free wireless internet access.
