What to expect when arriving at the airport

Prague Airport is located 20 km from the city centre and it takes about 30 minutes by car to get to the city centre. Public buses connect the airport to the metro line. Bus #119 provides the easiest connection to the city centre. If you have cash you can buy your ticket from the bus driver, but purchasing it at one of the vending machines in the arrival hall is cheaper. Be sure to validate your ticket when you get on the bus. The Airport Express Bus is a shuttle that operates between the airport and the city's main railway stations and leaves every 15 to 20 minutes. You can buy tickets from the driver, but you'll get a better deal online. A taxi to the city centre costs about 600 to 800 CZK. Finally, while Prague's narrow streets aren't great for driving, if you are planning on heading outside of the city then you can rent a car at the airport.

Airport Facilities

Almost all passenger flights arrive and depart from either Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, both of which have duty-free shops, restaurants, and convenience stores. Each terminal also has 24-hour convenience stores and 24-hour restaurants. You can also find fashion stores in both terminals, including Emporio Armani, Burberry, Lacoste, Porsche, and Tommy Hilfiger. ATMs are located throughout the airport and offer a better exchange rate on currency than the currency exchange counter. The airport also offers free wifi throughout.
