The Mazatlan Airport is located eighteen kilometers south of downtown Mazatlan. It features one terminal that is separated into two concourses, and accommodates both domestic and international flights. The airport is not connected to the city's public transportation system, but travelers can ask their hotel to send them a shuttle, use one of the airport's secure taxis, or rent a car from one of the rental services on the terminal's lower floor.  With any mode of transportation, the journey into town will take approximately forty minutes.
