Best time to book a flight to St. Petersburg

As a northern city, seasonal variations are extreme in St. Petersburg. Summer, particularly during June when the sun never seems to set and the city is alive at all hours, is the most popular time to visit and cheap hotels and flights are hard to come by. Autumn and spring can get rainy, but they also offer good deals and fewer crowds. Winter is, as you'd expect, cold and snowy, although almost all of the major attractions are still open and finding discounts on hotels is easy.
