Faulty towers hotel

We booked this holiday with EasyJet holidays, the hotel is advertised as a 5 star hotel, this hotel is at best a three star hotel. First impressions as you approach the hotel are good as is the reception area, we checked in and exchanged our Sterling into Denar and where told to keep the recipe as it would be needed to change any Denar back to Sterling when we checked out, this turned out not to be the case the reception informed us they where unable to change our surpluses Denar back to Sterling, unfortunately we had to hand it over to customs at the airport with a loss of approximately £60.
Our room 404 which is an upgraded pool view room was to say the least very tired with furnishing well past its sell by date, this was also true through the rest of the hotel. The food in the restaurant was very good as was the bar service no complaints whatsoever. The pool area and beach has sun-beds much like the furnishing throughout the hotel have all seen better days, the mattresses for the beds where filthy many of which where ripped, the grassed area at the top end of the pool had glasses and rubbish which stayed uncollected for days, the toilet block for the pool area was filthy and had no soap dispenser or paper towels for the whole two weeks we visited, the beach bar looked awful in need of serious repair with the steps leading down to the beach collapsed. The final straw which broke the camels back was the ceiling hatch in the hallway of our room which collapsed as we entered our room, this narrowly missed my wife fortunately as it would have been a serious incident.
Would I recommend this hotel, not in a million years, it should be advertised as a three star hotel.

Chill hotel… improvements needed.

If you want a hotel where you can chill. Relax. Not have to do much. Then this is the place. I would come back to Tunisia but probably a bigger resort with a bit more to do. Though this was great for the price and the not so greats were not enough to stop me coming back here.
Pros
1. Service - bars/pool/restaurant is absolutely exceptional, really considerate for children and just really friendly. Receptionists could learn from them though as they seem to lack in that area as everything feels too difficult for them.
2. WiFi - booming across the whole of the site which is great as data is expensive (if with EE).
3. Water bottles in room - really nice touch and appreciated.
4. Dessert - just wow. Best selection iv had at an all inclusive.
5. Rooms were clean. Everywhere was clean tbh. Fabulous ladies. We were in 105 I assume not refurbished yet. It needed it.
6. Bed soooo comfortable. Pillows a bit lumpy.
7. Beach is beautiful. And always beds. Same with the pool. Lifeguards super helpful and kind too.
8. Can’t comment too much on drinks but selection seemed fine. Cocktail specials every day in bar.
9. Entertainment in the day is fab. You don’t get hounded but always asked. They’re really friendly guys.
Good things to know:
1. Our room was small and we had a third bed. So to get out onto our terrace through the balcony doors we had to climb over it. Which wasn’t ideal for 10 days and fire safety. Our room faced away from pool. Pool facing rooms seemed way bigger.
2. Gym - the gym is not included. It’s £8 a session. Or £37 for a week. Disappointing to know that it was not included as it was a condition of our hotel choice and wasn’t clear when booking.
3. Towels - you do get towels but they’re child size. So bring your own if you don’t want to stick to the leather foam covers on the sun beds. Which get very hot in the sun.
4. Pool is freezing!! Standard.
5. Conjoined rooms - we were unfortunate enough to have quite a prolific snorer next door… and we heard it very clearly. And every phone call and alarm..
6. Iron - seems like there is only one. We never saw it despite asking every night.
7. Mini club - not what you expect it to be. Essentially a room with activities in. No organised activities. But Tony was great who sat in there and watched them.
8. There isn’t much outside the hotel. Not that I felt entirely safe leaving the hotel. You can get a taxi for 20Dn to the supermarket. They wait and bring you back too.
9. Food is the same daily. No special themes. It gets boring quickly but doesn’t all all inclusive. They also cook things fresh which is great but takes a long time and the chicken was not always cooked which I found out on more than one occasion.
10. Hairdryer - bring your own they do not work.
11. The beach after the storm was completely covered with seaweed and not been cleared for the five days following. All other hotels seem to look after their areas of beach including clearing seaweed. This hotel hasn’t. And you can barely even access the beach due to works around it. Disappointing.

Nice relaxing holiday. Best value.

Lovely holiday. Very good value. Special mention to Chada in customer relations for so much good advice and assistance. Enjoyed visits to Monastir and Sousse. Some small issues but all sorted and would definitely recommend for a lovely pre-season break.
