Most travellers visit Tunisia for their Mediterranean beaches, especially in resort towns like Monastir and Sousse, but the country has plenty of other things to offer. For all tourists, Carthage is a must-see. Originally founded in 6th century BC, it's the remains of an ancient Phoenician and Roman settlement. Best Time to Fly to Tunisia

The High Season in Tunisia lasts between July and August. During these summer months, many European travellers visit the country to lounge on its lovely beaches. There are two different Shoulder Seasons. The first period runs from April to June, while the second one happens from September in November. During both these timespans, prices on hotels drop and there are less tourists. Finally, Low Season occurs between December and March. Travellers tend to avoid these times due to low nighttime temperatures, but it's actually the prime time to visit the Sahara.
