Charleston International Airport (CHS) is South Carolina's largest airport. It is located in North Charleston, approximately 20 km northwest of downtown Charleston. There are no direct flights to Toronto from Charleston, but there are many flights that connect through other hubs. You can get to the Charleston airport from Charleston by taking the CARTA bus, which offers service direct from downtown Charleston. You can also take a taxi to the airport, or drive your own car as there is long-term parking available. The Charleston airport has food and beverage services, as well as shopping and ATMs. It is recommended that you check in two hours before your scheduled departure to make sure you are on time for your flight. Some nearby hotels offer free shuttles from the airport.
Another airport option is Toronto's Billy Bishop Toronto Airport (YTZ) which takes some international flights. It is connected to the mainland via a convenient passenger tunnel or ferry service.
