Indulge with some cocktails
Start the weekend in style by grabbing pre-dinner cocktails at Spyce Lounge. Located inside the Hilton Hotel and adjacent to Fallsview Casino. Order a Spyce Bellini which features Peach Schnapps and Champagne, as you enjoy the live music and plan out your weekend activities. If you are craving some tequila, go a little off the tourist route to Chile and Agave Mexican Restaurant, especially on Mondays to enjoy their 1/2 price tequila tastings.
Try your luck at a casino
No stay in Niagara would be complete without trying your luck on a little flutter at the many casinos. These resort-like entertainment centres offer more than just tables and slots. You’ll also be treated to fine dining, live music, and Broadway-style shows. Fallsview Casino is one of the best casinos in town. Remember, casinos should always be fun, so play within your limits, take regular breaks and keep an eye on the clock.
Stay in style and comfort in Niagara
For a change of pace from all the high-rise hotels on the Clifton Hill strip drive just thirty minutes to Niagara-on-the-Lake. This charming town features antique shops, a butterfly museum, and tea shops and vineyards galore. There you can reserve a room at the peaceful Harbour House. Relax in your in-room whirlpool bath or cosy up to the fireplace while enjoying a glass of Niagara region wine. Sweet dreams.
Visit these top attractions near the falls
The next morning, after breakfast, head back to Clifton Hill and join the crowds to walk the strip. Make sure you stop by some of the world-class attractions including the Niagara Skywheel, Dinosaur Adventure Golf, the Ripley’s Museum, the Midway and many more. Niagara Falls is like a whole city of miniature theme parks. Pace yourself – there’s a lot to see and do and something for the entire family on any Niagara Falls trip!
Marvel at the majestic Niagara Falls
Although Niagara Falls has plenty to offer visitors away from the thundering falls, they are the main attraction for tourists here. A trip would simply be incomplete without an up-close visit.
You can get a sense of the power and beauty just by experiencing the loud roar and feeling the mist on your face but for a little more adventure try getting even closer. Onboard a Hornblower Cruise prepare to get very wet as you pass by the American and Bridal Falls, through the gorge, and into the Horseshoe Falls.
Don’t forget to take lots of photographs of you in front of the falls, after all, Niagara Falls remains one of the most visited sights in all of Canada!Find Cheap Flights to Niagara Falls
Where to eat
Marvelling at the wonder of nature sure does make you hungry, I bet you’re ready to eat again! Choose from a huge range of chain family restaurants on the strip or drive for just twenty minutes to Iggy’s Pub in Fonthill. Here you can enjoy elevated pub grub including a hot favourite, their “Fanciest Schmanciest Burger. ” It comes with mushrooms, gruyere, prosciutto, and a red wine reduction all served on sourdough bread.
Scare yourself silly
Complete the perfect day of your Niagara Falls trip by visiting the Nightmares Fear Factory haunted house. See if you are among the 60,000 visitors who chicken out of completing the tour. This former coffin factory gets very busy at weekends but the adrenaline rush you get from all the scares is worth the line up alone. If you are too afraid to give it a go, simply stand outside and watch the faces of those leaving the attraction it might make you glad you didn’t go inside!
