How does Skyscanner make money?
Skyscanner is always free for travellers. We never charge any commission or fees. We are paid by our travel partners and advertisers. Depending on our agreement, we will be given commission for each booking made through us or for every time travellers visit a partner’s website. We always make sure any adverts are labelled so that you know exactly what’s what.
How are prices on Skyscanner so cheap?
We search hundreds of airlines, thousands of hotels, and all the most popular travel agencies worldwide. We work hard at creating as many relationships with these companies as possible so you can have as much choice as possible. In some cases, an agent will offer a flight at a reduced rate, giving you the opportunity to get the same flight for less – or choose to book direct.
Why do Skyscanner prices change?
Flight prices and availability change constantly, so we make sure the data is updated regularly to reflect this. When you click on ‘details’ or ‘select’, the price is updated again, so you always see the best price available from the airline or travel agent at time of booking. Whilst we make every effort to ensure the information you see on Skyscanner is accurate, occasionally there can be reasons why the price is not represented accurately on the site. If you see a price difference between Skyscanner and a flight provider, please contact us and we will investigate further.
