Boston’s Freedom Trail
The Freedom Trail Foundation in Boston covers 16 historic landmarks. It’s a must-see on any trip to Boston. The trail stretches over 4 kilometres of indoor and outdoor sites with some opportunities for guided tours along the way, eventually ending with the U.S. Constitution and the Bunker Hill Monument.
Another must-stop in Boston is the city’s State House. Another notable sight is the Park Street Church, where American abolitionist William Lloyd Garrison made one of the first public speeches that condemned slavery.
No trip to Boston is complete without a visit to the Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Making up the marketplace are the buildings of the Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, the North Market and South Market. This area is near the Boston waterfront, and the cobblestone roads in this part of Boston make for some picturesque exploring.
