More about SureStay Hotel by Best Western Bardstown General Nelson
SureStay Hotel by Best Western Bardstown General Nelson
Experience warm hospitality and newly renovated, affordable accommodations at the SureStay by Best Western Bardstown General Nelson. Known to most as the bourbon capital of the world, Bardstown is the place to arrive thirsty for history, exploration, and of course, bourbon. We’re located conveniently off Highway 62 and 4.5 blocks from all the action of downtown Bardstown. In town to celebrate? We have a 100-person banquet facility, complete with projector, screen, podium, and mic. It wouldn’t be a party without a dance floor, music system, or bar, all of which are available by request. It’s best to fill up before indulging in all the bourbon offerings in the area, so start your day off with our complimentary breakfast, complete with various hot options. Within the 16-mile spread of downtown, there are 11 distilleries you can explore, including Jim Beam, Four Roses, and Makers Mark. The Old Talbott Tavern, built in 1779, is the oldest bourbon bar in the world and is within walking distance from the hotel. Those looking to drink up some history of the town can explore Spalding Hill, a hospital during the Civil War that has now been transformed into a museum showcasing the history of bourbon. The picture-perfect downtown area is filled with over 200 historic buildings, including restaurants, boutiques, bourbon bars, museums, and more. In addition to downtown, there are plenty of local dining spots that won’t disappoint, including My Old Kentucky Dinner Train, only a mile away from the property.
