Roses Costa Brava (spelt Rosas in Spanish) is a beautiful big bay stretching all the way from L’Escala to Roses. Since 2011, the Bay of Roses (which includes the beaches of L'Escala, Sant Marti d'Empuries, Sant Pere Pescador, Empuriabrava and Roses) is in the Most Beautiful Bays in the World Club! This is a UNESCO endorsed classification. The bay of Roses is one long sand beach, invisibly split into the different beaches of L’Escala, Sant Marti D’Empuries, Sant Pere Pescador, Empuriabrava and Roses. It is backed at one end by the Montgri Massif (behind L’Escala) and at the other end by the Cap de Creus headland (behind Roses).
Roses offers a calm alternative to the beach cities to the south that are often crowded with tourists. This is the place to go a romantic getaway by the sea. The teal water lapping white sand beaches next to rugged cliff are magical. Here you'll find charming restaurants and small boutique hotels to cater to your every need.
in main season realy overcrowded, apart main nice bay, a lot to see, historic buildings, Dali Museum, good place to sail, windsurf, Apartementes ans many campgrounds.
Roses is a little coastal town near Figueres. Head toward the shorelines and walk along the streets if shops and eateries. The streets are alive with a small outdoors market where you can order a freshly made churro, street performers singing and dancing, and merry-go-round for the kids. Taste some of the fresh seafood as Costa Brava area is world renown for the best cuisine in the world.
