How to Get Cheap Hotels in Acapulco and Last Minute Hotel Deals

Getting the perfect hotel at a great price is something we all strive for. As with all travel, you’re likely to find a good price on a hotel in Acapulco if you book far enough in advance, but a lot of hotels also offer great last minute deals in Acapulco. When there are beds left to fill, prices are often cut to attract last-minute deal hunters and spontaneous travellers who have the freedom and ability to visit Acapulco at the last-minute. You might not get your first choice of hotels in Acapulco, but you are likely to get more for your money. We don’t recommend you wait until the last-minute during peak seasons and when there are events taking place in Acapulco though, as it is likely that accommodation will fill up early – and you don’t want to be left without a bed!

Get Hotels in Acapulco Near the Main Attractions

When visiting Acapulco, there is plenty to explore – and finding a hotel near the main attractions will make this even easier. We recommend checking out hotels near Mundo Imperial, Parque Papagayo and Malecón, or using our map feature to find hotels near your specific points of interest.

Acapulco was my first favorite beach vacation in Mexico. Fell in love with it until I discovered Cancun and the Riviera Maya side.

Don't skip your siesta in Acapulco, because you'll need the sleep: you'll be busy dancing from midnight until the sun comes up. Countless nightclubs keep the evenings hopping, while Acapulco Bay and its beaches give the beautiful people a place to perfect their tans by day. Gourmet restaurants and exceptional water sports make your stay unforgettable. Acapulco is still famous for its nightlife and attracts many tourists, although most are now from Mexico itself. The resort area is divided into two: The north end of the bay is the "traditional" area, where the famous in the mid-20th century vacationed; and the south end is dominated by newer luxury high-rise hotels

I visited Acapulco for work reasons during spring break (I know, I know) and absolutely hated it. It was full of drunk students and I felt that somewhere, deep down, there might be a town I'd like to see but at the time I was there... not so much. If you like to party and drink it's great, but for those of us who like places a little less crowded and a bit less booze-fueled, this is probably not the place to visit.

I really enjoyed Acapulco, however it was during a time when the crime and drug situation was not as prevalent.
