Jewel in nowhereland : indulge!
A bit off the beaten track you will ( or should try hard to ) find this jewel of hospitality.
Authentic design of a fancy cozy home blends with flawless hotel amenities.

Beautiful stop to make between JAIPUR and UDAIPUR.

Much more than a hotel.
We had a wonderful experience at Dev Shree. We had our doubts when our travel agent recommended it. Two days in a village in the middle of nowhere? Instead of seeing some of the wonders that India has to offer? He was right. It is a wonderful experience, what they offer cannot be found in a "regular" hotel.
A beautiful house/home by a lake, comfortable rooms, perfect gardens, a refreshing pool, fantastic food , as good as any restaurant but home cooked, (they will ask for your preferences and things you would prefer to avoid), excellent and attentive service,always at hand, plenty of activities if you feel like, tranquillity to read a book or go for a walk if you want. And a wonderful family, charming, warm, intelligent, and more than anything, generous with their time, their house, their welcome, their conversation, the only time we were late for our driver was here, could not pull ourselves away from the breakfast table. But obviously, if you want privacy, they'll accommodate.
I think it is a perfect stop for 2-3 nights during a tour of India, helps you relax, gather your strength and digest everything you have experienced so far.
The village, by the way, feels not only safe, but extremely welcoming, we walked around the lake, even got lost, and were greeted with smiles and sometimes conversation everywhere.
Some additional things:
Despite being next to the lake and being very hot, we didn't suffer one single mosquito bite.
They employ local people, thus helping the village, in many cases women or somebody that may find difficult to get a job. As you can expect, not all of them speak perfect English, but they will all try and if they can't understand they will rush to find somebody. And they are all extremely attentive and eager to please.
The dogs are cute and well behaved, and if you are not keen (almost impossible) they will keep them away from you.
All in all, if we had our time again, we wouldn't doubt for a second.
And thank you all for a wonderful couple of days and the lasting memories.

Great experience - outstanding hospitality
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with my wife and my daughter. The family owner as well the staff provide first-class service and make you feel right at home. The breakfasts, lunches and dinners were all excellent. We also took part in the sunset safari, the train ride and the village visit, all of which were great experiences. I highly recommend spending a few nights at the Dev Shree when visiting Rajasthan.
