I got a confirmed reservation but when I showed up yesterday at 3pm after a long trip by land, the receptionist told me there was no room for me. I asked why, she said because they were calling me on the phone and did not answer (?). I got very upset because the lady was not empathetic and would not even apologize and they would not take responsibility to accommodate in another hotel. I had no data in my phone and It was extremely difficult to find another place to stay in a city bursting with people due to the local festivities. I will not recommend this hotel because of their lack of professionalism and empathy in cases like mine. They ruined my vacation!

Hotel did not honor rsvn. Rude staff

I had a confirmed reservation for more than three weeks with a credit card as a guarantee. I even got reminders about it. Yesterday when I showed up at 3pm after a long trip by land the receptionist said there was no room for me. She told me they canceled it because I did not answered my phone (?). I asked why would they do such thing. She said it was not her fault with no empathy or apology and they wouldn’t even try to re-accommodate me in another hotel. I got very upset because ALL hotels in Cuenca were fully booked due to the local festivities, and there was nowhere to stay. I will not recommend this hotel for their lack of professionalism. Really bad experience!!

The hotel has a lot of charm and a good location. It was clean and the shower water was hot (something not to take for granted in Ecuador). We had a billing issue that was resolved quickly with the help of our tour guide. We appreciated the hotel owner’s prompt response. The only issue of note was that the WiFi was not very good, it worked in the common areas but not very well in our rooms. Overall, a good experience.
