Best Time to Fly to Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe's climate is tropical and known for its heavy rainfall. If you're planning a visit, the best time to fly into town is between April and October. These months are dryer with warm days and cooler nights. That being said, the rainy season does have its perks. Lasting from November into April, Zimbabwe's natural world is thriving and green, plus the lightening storms are impressive to behold. Finally, from July to September is the peak period for viewing wildlife, although the temperatures can be scorching.

There are two main airports in Zimbabwe, Harare International Airport (HRE) and Victoria Falls Airport (VFA). Since Victoria Falls Airport only opened its international terminal in 2015, Harare International Airport is still the country's biggest and busiest airfield.
