Kansai International Airport is located on Osaka Bay. The airport is connected to the shore by a toll bridge, two rail lines, and by public transit. However, the ferry only goes to Awaji Island and to Kobe Airport (UKB).
You will be able to reach central Osaka more quickly from Itami Airport. As the airport is connected to the Hanshin Expressway, a taxi ride into Osaka will only take about a half hour. ITM is also connected to the Osaka Monorail, which makes stops in Osaka and the surrounding area.
