The weather in Bremen ranges from mild to hot between April and October, making this a great time for tourists to visit. Summer is the warmest and sunniest season but rain showers and thunderstorms occur occasionally. The winters in Bremen are long, ranging from November to March. During this season, temperatures are usually below freezing and snowfall is a possibility. Winter days also receive very minimal sunshine. Airport and Airline Options in Bremen
Currently, there is only one airport option in the Bremen area: Bremen Airport Hans Koschnick (BRE). The airport is located about 4 km south of the city of Bremen, or about a twenty-minute taxi ride. The airport is also well-connected to public transit busses and trains. Bremen Airport consists of one main passenger terminal subdivided into three sections. A short walk away from the main terminal, there is also a smaller building known as Terminal E which is used exclusively by Ryanair.
Ryanair and Germania are the airlines offering the most flight routes. Other popular airlines which serve BRE include Lufthansa, Eurowings, KLM, and Air France. Unfortunately, there are no direct flight paths from Canada to Bremen. To fly to Bremen, Canadians will have at least one layover, usually in a major European city like Paris, London, or Amsterdam. Your stop may also be in a different German city, like Stuttgart, Frankfurt, or Munich.
What to See and Do in Bremen
Since the majority of the state of Bremen is made up of the city of Bremen, most of the major attractions will be found there. One of the most popular attractions is the Universum Bremen, an interactive science museum with over 200 exhibits.
