My husband John and I by the MLK Bridge downtown Toledo Ohio. Perfect weather in July to visit Toledo , the night time view to the left is another beautiful bridge that lights up in wonderful colors.
I am partially biased since I grew up here, but Toledo is a great city with a ton of great places to go and food to eat. If you are looking for things to do, check out the Art Museum, the zoo, Imagination station (if you have kids) and if it is the right season go check out the Toledo Mudhens (baseball) or Toledo Walleye (hockey). For some good food check out Burger Bar 419, QQ Kitchen and for coffee, Plate 21.
The only time I was here to compete in the State Chess Championships at Toledo University in March 1989. My team won 1st place in the Elementary Division. I won 3 matches, lost 1 and stalemate 1.
See the Mud Hens, The Toledo Zoo, The Toledo Museum of Art, and have yourself a chili dog at the legendary Tony Packo's.
