We spent the morning in Provincetown and enjoyed the vibe. Definitely an open and tolerant little town with a lot of cute shops and cafes. The beaches are better mid-island however, as the conservation area suggests.
"P-town" as it's commonly called is located about 45-50 min drive from West Dennis- and this historic town is as eclectic as it gets. Enjoy people-watching from any of the street benches while you eat fudge or ice cream offered on almost every corner. Great galleries, (artist colonies) terrific seafood and outdoor bars/patios. Easy to spend the day but plan for parking jams and don't hesitate to park about a 10 min walk away as you probably won't get closer- One way streets and "residents only" get to park in town off the Main street. Parking located in the Marina/harbor as well. Also fills up early in summer. From here catch fishing, or whale-watching boats. Can travel back to Boston from P-town.
minutes away , also great beaches, shopping, fine restaurants, shopping museums and more
Wonderful City to walk around and window shop. Lots of cool bars and places to have LOBSTER!
