A dry town full of iconic Jersey Shore sights like a boardwalk, mini-golf, and more, Ocean City is not a bad place to stop for a little classic silliness. Just don't try to find a beer.

Ocean City MD is a beach town like no other. The population can swell to a few million visitors in the summer season. My suggestion would be to visit in June before school is concluded or in September after school is in session. Ocean City has a unique bus system which allows you to purchase a daily or weekly pass; senior discounts are also available. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from including fast food to very proper. The beach is the main attraction and Ocean City's beach is very lengthy; at one end is a boardwalk with appropriate stores and plenty of off street parking. This is a city which is fun for all age groups.

Ocean City is one of several gateway city to Del/Mar peninsula area. It is best to be in the low season when you visit if you can. There are great attractions in the area that are less that 2 hour drive either direction.
