Helena, the town that gold built, is a special gem to explore in Montana. Nestled in the shadow of Mount Helena, the Queen City offers the traveller something for every taste and interest: history, art and architecture, rodeos, outdoor music concerts, the list goes on! Helena is an easy, scenic, hour long drive from Lincoln.

Helena, is the tiny forgotten capital of Montana. This is a shame because the place is full of outdoor sportsmen activities that range from mountain man pastimes like hunting, trapping and fly fishing (some of the best in the world) to more genteel endeavors like hiking, camping and bird watching. For the younger set, Helena offers ample opportunities for rafting, canoeing, wake boarding, skateboarding and snowboarding. Given all this, small wonder I go back there every chance I get.

Love it enough to live here. The people are friendly and always willing to converse.
