Pereira is a small city that you can walk around in all day. I would not reccomend it though as you will probably get blisters, and the heat will get to you. It is a great place to stay if you want visit the Coffee Region. A quieter and cleaner city would be Armenia, but it has less of a nightlife. Pereira also has great cuisine to explore as well.
Lovely city right at the transition area between the Valle del Cauca and the Eje Cafetero. Very green scenery, great weather weather, and close to some of the best coffee producing areas in the world
City projecting itself as Cosmopolitan, high commercial activity, low prices in its products (Textiles, silverware, leather goods, furniture, services and tourism) is strategically located in the center west of Colombia and; in the center of the Coffee Triangle. It is the seventh Colombian city, due to its proximity to Bogotá (DC), Medellin, Cali, Manizales, Ibague and Armenia, cultural and commercial exchange is facilitated. Pereira enjoys a warm climate and an average temperature of 21 degrees Celsius, at an altitude above sea level of 1411 meters.
