The Big Céilidh Fiddle stands 17 meters tall, is made from painted steel and weighs eight tons. It is the largest ceilidh fiddle in the world. It was created to recognize the pre-eminence of fiddle music and the fiddlers who have contributed so much to the musical heritage of Cape Breton Island.
