When visiting the Locks in Sault Ste. Marie, MI why not just cross the bridge into Canada to see the sites and perhaps take a train ride into the wilderness.
Gorgeous scenery!! It is a long drive but worth it. Especially in fall or spring when the temperature extremes are not as bad. Could do it as a day trip from Toronto.
Sault Ste. Marie is a city that has the same name as its partner america city. It has rich history dating back to the French Fur traders. Disability access is limited to what activities you do. Disability parking is limited also. You will need atleast 1 day to visit the city.
I mostly explored the beautiful surroundings during this trip, such as taking a train to a beautiful national park with many hiking trails.
