This hotel is absolutely gorgeous! I had to ask the staff about the art in the hallways, and they informed me that the owners were always travelling and picking up these pieces of art as they went along. It was nice to see such a personal touch put into the design of the hotel. It has a very luxurious feel, with rooms that face the water and overlook the hotel’s Japanese Garden. I loved the natural light provided by the big windows. Even though the hotel is close to the busy harbor, it is tucked away nicely enough to still feel secluded.

You will be hard pressed to find someone who has bad things to say about this iconic Victoria hotel, myself included. The location is convenient, staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the views are stunning—and seemingly every room gets one!

This hotel was given a complete facelift just a few years back, and I agree that it is now one of Victoria's modern architectural wonders. Plus, it's just a short walk from downtown, which makes it really convenient and surprisingly quiet.

If it's a pampered escape you're looking for, they offer a variety of special getaway packages as well as modern and stylish rooms with enough amenities to keep any type of traveller from wanting to leave. If you're looking for something luxurious and convenient, this is where you want to be.

Wow! This was the first word that popped into my head when I saw the view from the Inn at Laurel Point. The blue water and the brightly coloured autumn leaves were a marvelous sight to behold. The hotel itself has a captivating design, particularly when you look at its newer wing designed by renowned Canadian architect Arthur Erickson. Inside the rooms there is a definite Japanese aesthetic with sliding doors and simple clean design. This sense is reinforced by the view from the Erickson wing of the peaceful Japanese garden. Also, in the hallway outside the rooms there are Japanese items like a wedding kimono on display. Wellness seekers should definitely check out the indoor heated pool and fitness room, as well as go for a walk near the water.

I loved this hotel. The location and views are wonderful. The staff are very helpful. We did have some trouble with our room. We had to have the drain in the shower unplugged and the air conditioning did not work properly. Even though the breakfast was pricey, the food was amazing.

So modern and beautiful. We were here way back when, and the memories were wonderful.

Once you get off of the ferry, this hotel is to the right, as opposed to the main downtown area where the Empress is at that's to the left. It gives the place a bit of a feeling of a quiet retreat. The view at night from the balconies are terrific too.
