Life as a backpacker can be pretty suffocating, but at Wink Hostel it's anything but. For the trendy, discerning but budget-constrained traveller, this hostel is perfectly located (though a bit hard to find on account that Mosque St doesn't conform to odd, even or running numbers) in historic, exciting and extremely accessible Chinatown. With well-designed common spaces, the air wells, wood floors, high ceilings, solid wood outfittings and the library (along with the computer area and kitchen) make the experience of budget living breezily cool, clean and pleasant. Even though your personal living and sleeping space is confined to a pod, rather than a room, considering the amenities, convenience and price point, it's a winning proposition. Double-bed pods are also available for couples travelling together.

There’s a lot to like about Wink Hostel, which is easily the most modern and high-tech hostel I’ve ever seen. The only thing not to like is maybe the price (which is about double the average Singapore hostel, but a bargain compared to a hotel), but you do get your money’s worth. First off, their pod-style beds are cozy and offer a lot more privacy than bunk beds. The rooms are air-conditioned 24/7 and have a maximum of 10 beds so they’re not crowded. There’s plenty of bathroom stalls so you don’t need to wait for a shower in the morning and the rain-showers are a nice touch. Security is excellent and you get a keycard that opens your dorm room and your locker which is right under your pod. The hostel has lots of places where you can relax and watch TV, read a book, or check your email. The WiFi is free and lightning fast. The location is really great too and you can walk to Chinatown subway station or a hawker center for cheap Chinese food in a couple minutes.

Excellent place... Although its a bit tight, it has all the essential; bed. Nice ambiance and room theme. Marvellous neighbourhood...

Wink Hostel is a boutique hostel located in the old part of Chinatown. Check-in is 24 hours and breakfast is complimentary. The dorm rooms has a pod-like feel and resembles more of an enlarged capsule hotel than a hostel. It's also very clean and modern.

The Wink Hostel is a perfect example of urban living in Singapore. It is pretty much the boutique hotel version of a hostel. It is a very modern, vibrant and trendy hostel catered to young travelers. They rent out sleeping pods which are very self-contained, fitted with an LED reading light, power socket and ambient back light. Pods are also sound-resistant. What I liked about this hostel is especially with the lockers, which is located as a drawer below the bunk beds and activated with a key card! Very hassle free. On top of that, beds seem very comfortable with fluffy pillows and cozy duvets. Dormitories are air-conditioned almost at all times. Toilets are shared but very very large, spacious and clean! If you are looking to make friends, this hostel is highly recommended as it has multiple lounge areas on its premises for people to relax and talk. It’s entertainment area also has games consoles available. Wifi is free and accessible throughout the place. Breakfast is provided daily at its large and spacious dining area/kitchen which is very nice for people travelling on budget!
