Awesome beach a little north of Santa Cruz. Lots of small hidden coves all across highway 1. Clean and beautiful area.

Stunning state beach off hwy 1 in Santa Cruz. The high cliffs and steep journey down to the beach make it a gem in the area as it's not the easiest beach to get to. Enjoy the coastline during sunset from the top of the cliff. It's really a breathtaking view.

Unfortunately it's a pretty crowded beach. The view is beautiful but the amount of people going there are seen by the amount of trash left behind.

My new favorite beach near Santa Cruz! So beautiful and big. A little hidden germ! There are no signs, but parking opportunities next to the highway 1. Then you need to go down on a dirt path. So if you are not good by foot, try a different beach. We were lucky today and saw lots of Dolphins and some seals.

My new favorite beach. This one, just north of Santa Cruz, is a bit hard to find, but is worth the hunt. It's a steep climb down a cliff to the beach - wear decent shoes - and it may be hard for small kids or people not sure of foot. But wow - so beautiful. When you get to the bottom, walk through a bug natural arch on your left and find yourself on a spectacular, long sandy beach, lined by tall red and orange swirled cliffs. There are tidepools, climbing rocks, and lots of space. It's a dog friendly beach, and is a favorite for locals to BBQ.

Gorgeous beach with tide pools. Fewer people come to this beach because it is somewhat hidden and hard to get to.

Nice beach to get away from the crowded beaches in Santa Cruz. It's hike down to the beach but well worth it! My 6 yr old loved it here!

This place is amazing. It may be a little tricky to find, but it certainly deserve a shot.
You will park in the dirt by Hwy 1 and you will walk along a dirt path to go down to the beach. There are a few different paths to get to it, follow the surfers to get the easy way down and avoid the cliff hike since this one is more demanding, but also a good option.

The beach is incredibly beautiful and clean. People that go to Panther Beach take really good care of it, so make sure you to the same. Be aware that this is a "no dog" zone, so even if you see dogs around, keep yours home to avoid a $200 fine if a ranger sees you.

Beautiful beach along highway 1. Occasionally dolphins and sea lions can be spotted.

Hike down a steep path in to a quiet beach with a rock arch. At low tide, cross under the arch to a longer, quieter beach. 10m north of SC, near Bonny Doon.
