the base of magnificent 300-foot cliffs. You can practice your hang-gliding and make your remote-controlled glider soar to new heights from the glider port overlooking the cliffs. In clear, sunny weather, you can hike the trails (watch out for high tides and rock slides), have a Frisbee toss and catch a beautiful sunset.

This is one of the more...colorful...beaches in San Diego. And by that I mean it's a nude beach. Woop! It's a fun vibe if you don't ruin it - aka, if you're a prude, just don't come. Don't be that guy. You can also hang-glide over the beach for a truly one-of-a-kind, um, view.

Stunning beach beneath cliffs stretching for miles along the coast with great surfing ,body surfing, spectacular sunsets, etc. Clothing optional and LGBT sections in more secluded areas.

Black's is a world-class surf spot in the winter, and an amazingly beautiful beach in its own right. It's at the bottom of some pretty tall cliffs, and there is no really easy way to get down there. Either walk down a long, steep half-mile street that winds in and out of the cliffs, or take the stairs down from the glider port.

The stairs (all 300 ft of them) is by far the most fun option. I highly recommend it. They cling to the cliffs; go left here, right there. Rough if you aren't in shape. You get a great view all the way down. Respect the cliffs.

And, yes, it's a nude beach -- mostly (exclusively...) inhabited by old men that sunbathe like walri. They seem harmless. Kinda adds a weird mystique to it.

Blacks Beach - a hike down but worth it; caution a nude beach too.

It’s hard to say for sure what Black’s Beach is more famous for: a world-class surf spot or the United States’ largest nude beach, but if I had to pick, I’d say it’s the latter. In keeping with the spirit of “free,” I couldn’t help but include San Diego’s only nude beach. If you plan to go sans clothing, it’s important to remember that the state park managed section of Black’s Beach is nude friendly.

My first time going to Black's Beach (5 years ago, freshmen year of undergraduate) was in the middle of the night for a bonfire, via Ho Chi Minh Trail. My group inadvertently made it more of an 'adventure' by not bringing flashlights.

The "trail," is as uneven and crooked as the Great Wall of China -- its more akin to scaling a mountain. Don't let anyone trick you into thinking that's the only way to get down there!

Needless to say my quadriceps were burning the next day.

Beautiful beach in La Jolla, local surf spot, oh and did I mention nude beach. It is a local favorite for surfing but many pass for coming here to lay out. Unless you enjoy old naked men staring at you; there are other beaches. This is also the sight for drum circles during full moons. this is an amazing beach and must see!!

Beautiful and isolated, Black’s is located north of Scripps Pier and close to UCSD. The access can be walking from La Jolla Shores (longer but easier) or descending the rough cliff path from above. Def my favorite beach to enjoy the sunset

This is a quiet, clothing-optional beach. Unless there is an event scheduled, it is normally near empty even when the weather is warm. There was no life guard on duty when I went.

Surf's up! This is one of the best surf spots in California. Surrounded by huge cliffs and mansions this place is must go if you'r a surfer.
