Tee up for an afternoon of family fun. Shop, spend some time on the midway, play some arcade games, and when you get hungry stop by the food court to re-energize your group. Belmont Park is a historic oceanfront amusement park located in the Mission Bay area of San Diego, California. The park was developed by sugar magnate John D. Spreckels and opened on July 4, 1925 as the Mission Beach Amusement Center.

Fun! Enjoyable. Rode the roller coaster twice! IF you have young kids they will like it. The prices are reasonable but the ride tickets and activity tickets aren't connected so make sure you now what you are really going to do before you buy tickets.

We used the groupon and got the bracelets for a good price. The only thing is that we couldn't go on any rides. But that was fine. We got to do lazer tag, lazer maze, sky ropes and some other stuff!

Great place to take your little ones. There's a fun sized roller coaster and kids rides and games with prizes. The beach is only a few steps away, so are beach shops and restaurants. I recommend crushing the side walk with wheels. There are plenty of rental shops if you don't have your own.

San Diego's old local amusement park/pier is perfect for families or fun-loving locals who want to spend a cheesy day together. Ride the old wooden roller coaster and admire the views of the Pacific, munch on a caramel apple or kettle corn, and bring plenty of cash for ride tickets.

Belmont Park is a lot of fun. Parking can be a challenge especially on the weekends. They have a swimming pool roller coaster, laser tag, ropes course, miniature golf and much more.

Last time I ride on the roller coaster was in 1964. Still is the same as it was back then. Go to the beach there all the time.

The historic wooden roller coaster is a sleeper--it looks a lot more tame than it is. It is a "twister" type coaster with old style seating. It can get your heart-rate up! Kids love it because you spend more time out of your seat than in, or it seems that way! Great way to spend the day and enjoy the ocean.

Belmont park can get a little busy during the weekends, especially during the summer, but there's always plenty of people watching to do at a place like this!

A fun amusement park by the beach, perfect on a sunny day. Come to ride the famous wooden roller coaster, and bring the kids. Easy to combine with a lazy day on the sand at Mission Beach.

Fun place to go with family, friends or on a date. Not your typical place to go if you want to drink but pb (pacific beach) is a small drive away.

Belmont Park has been part of San Diego culture since 1925. Though it has been updated several times, currently with arcades, wave pools, and "Sky ropes and rock walls," it still retains a lot of the old timey charm -- including the original wooden roller coaster. While it has a lot of modernized attractions, don't expect a modern amusement park in size or scope.

The Big Dipper is an iconic beach front roller coaster; it's 90 years old, bumpy as all heck, but has a great view.

A trip here won't break the bank, admission and parking are free, so you can choose what you pay to ride/do. I think of Belmont as more of a fun distraction than an all-day event. Lounge on the beach, ride the coaster, walk the boardwalk and you'll probably spend less in a afternoon visit here than you would parking at a major park.

Just a small amusement park at Mission Beach. Not very impressive and the food options aren't great but guess the kids would like it.

Belmont Park is good for families, but can be a good date too. It's a good place to go to end the day in San Diego. You can get ice cream and greasy fair food, ride the famous roller coaster, and there's even a zip line but it's kind of expensive.

Located directly on Mission Beach, Belmont Park has a number of rides, a surfing machine, and plenty of places to grab a bite to eat (carnival style). The views are fantastic, and this is definitely catering towards children of all ages.

When I think of the beach in San Diego, I think of Belmont Park. I frequented this area as a kid and enjoyed riding the roller coaster during the summer. Good children's activities, an arcade, surf shops, and plenty of food carts.

The park is fun for kids with the carnival rides and games including the Wave House, and for adults/teens it's an area where there are always a lot of people. There are a couple of bars/restaurants and a great beach boardwalk to walk/skate/bike/people watch.
