Salta Vacations

Salta is the hilly tourist-capital of north-west Argentina. With beauty that rivals the pristine nature surrounding it, Salta isn't only a home-base for day-trippers. Enjoy the simple-yet-elegant architecture, local archeological museums, and the spectacular views provided by the hills (you can even catch a cable car up to a great vantage point, ... Read more
overlooking the city). Of course, once you've seen the city, you'll be interested in the main attraction: the various things to see and do in the surrounding countryside. Salta is home to many tour companies that will help you plan trips to everything imaginable: the Tren a las Nubes through the dense, mystical rain forest to Cachi; the impressive and awe-inspiring salt flats; horseback trips through the forest, if you're interested in experiencing a slice of local life and even paragliding, if you're not too afraid of heights!

This is the best place to eat cheap and tasty steaks. Go to Viejo Jack!!! We ate there 3 times during our stay. The city itself is nice, but doesn't worth staying if you are in a short trip. Keep these days for Bariloche :)

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Salta is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful provinces of Northern Argentina. A place that locals and foreigners choose to venture among their hills and valleys, enjoy local cuisine, especially their empanadas, tour the vineyards of the Cafayate area and surroundings, enjoy its people, its history and the culture of the area.
A province that has everything and that is constantly growing to receive tourists from all over the world.

Excelente lugar!
