Nice dessert resort with an area kind of like a water park. They also have a gold course there for those that like to play. Conference centers are here for those that come for a convention.

I stayed here for a conference and it was a great hotel! They have a water park which I was excited to go on the slide but it is only open on weekends this time of year. A couple tips:) if you host an event there the Seared Tuna table is amazing!!! I never have liked it but I tried it because it was a fancy event! It was delicious and I went back for more. Also everyone was commenting that they liked it. 2nd if your a Whiskey Guy or Gal ask for PJ at the bar! He is super friendly and really knows his stuff

This resort is one of the most stunning resorts in the area. One of the biggest highlights here is the massive water park with a huge slide, making it ideal for families. The grounds here are stunning. The golf course here is gorgeous. That's a huge draw in the Phoenix area, and this course is one of the prettiest in the region. It's just off the highway and really close to South Mountain, which is packed with trails. All the rooms here are suites, making it perfect for larger parties. There's also an on-site spa for guests who want to really relax.

From the moment you cross the resort gates, it's like you're swept up in a whole other world. Even though the Arizona Grand Resort is just a busy Interstate 10 interchange, it's easy to forget about the hectic traffic outside once you get caught up in the peacefulness of the trees, flower displays and gurgling fountains you'll find on the resort grounds.

Speaking of fountains, I love the giant, regal water fountain that welcomes you at the roundabout near the entrance. It really sets a nice tone for a true getaway vacation. The lobby is big but still manages to feel cozy, thanks to all the southwestern-inspired pottery and wooden furniture. I like that the southwestern decor is more luxurious than kitsch. The lobby also has great views of the golf course. It's hard not to be impressed by the waterpark here - it's one of the largest lazy rivers I've seen. The resort is huge (there are maps and directories everywhere, which is nice), and the views will depend on where your suite is located. I didn't get to see the larger grand suites or private casitas, but the standard resort suites are spacious enough to stretch out and get comfy. All suites have private patios. Ask for a room facing the golf course for great views of the greens.

It's like being on a cruise ship in the middle of the desert. This ship stops in the South Mountain Preserve, where you get off-board to hike, bike or horseback ride. This is only a simile but with all the activities at the resort, along with the family spirited atmosphere, it truly is an experience. The private Oasis Waterpark is famous across the country and here's why: 7 acres of waterpark, a wave pool, lazy river with rapids, 3 waterslides and a huge hot tub. It's dreamy. During the summer, there is live entertainment, games and a big screen at one of the pools. The hotel itself is huge with 740 various styles of suites and thousands of feet of meeting/event space. One thing to remember, though, is that it comes at a price. There is a standard room fee per night AND, gasp, a pretty steep ‘resort fee’. So make the most of your stay and use the golf course, spa and waterpark!

WATTEEERRRR PPPAARRRRKKK!!!!! That's how excited I was when I saw the massive water park and rocking water slides! Many of the resorts tailor to the golf scene in Phoenix, so its nice to discover one to cool off at during the 100 degree summer months. I, being a local, don't mind golfing during the summer months to take advantage of the discounts. They do have a golf course, I found as awesome as the water parks, on the property. So what else? O yea, a 20,000 foot athletic club and 17 acre mountain that will flip your wig. I don't know what Zumba is because I lift weights like the Terminator, but I noticed Zumba, and several other fitness classes on the list. The suite style rooms are great too, this hotel is perfect for a family weekend!
