Description
The Moulin Rouge, a French cabaret built by Joseph Oller in 1889, was immortalized by Toulouse-Lautrec and is where the famous Mistinguett performed.

Many French and international celebrities such as ... Read more
Edith Piaf, Liza Minnelli, Frank Sinatra or Elton John have fallen in love with this mythical stage!

This venue, with its decoration from the Belle Epoque, papered with red velvet and typical frescoes, opens its doors for you to enjoy a dinner in the tradition of French gastronomy, including refined dishes which are served with Champagne, the official drink of the Moulin Rouge.

Admire a troupe of 60 artists from all around the world who perform in the legendary cabaret twice every evening in the show "Féerie". This spectacular show of 2 hours includes feathers, rhinestones, glitter, sumptuous settings, acrobats, original music, international acts, and, of course, the famous French Cancan.

The Location: Metro #2, Exit :Blanche". The Metro station is right next to it.

The Admission: Dinner & Show.... 190 euro; Show only 77+ euro. Two shows, 9pm & 11pm. 9pm is cheaper than 11pm.

Definitely have to buy the tickets in advance. Very very popular show in Paris!!!

There’s nothing else that can be said about this historic place ... it is a party strip of its own

The dancers are beautiful and some are talented, the costumes and stages are elaborate and flamboyant
Best bits: the internissions, specifically the singing in the rain guys.
Bad bits: the lip syncing and cheesy songs.

A great, colourful show by the most famous cabaret. I opted for the champagne and show package as the dinner package felt over-priced.

If given the opportunity, go see Moulin Rouge - the show, not just the building! It is a true French experience with a three course meal, authentic French Champagne, and an incredible show.

This time around, I visited in the afternoon, which definitely has a different ambiance than at night, which is very seedy... But it always has been. This area is the red light district; however come by to see the famous Moulin Rouge, at least from the outside.

Definitely an experience worth the tourist price. Be careful of the shops and venues around it as well! Heard a lot of stories of tourists being conned into going in and forced to pay a ridiculous amount just to leave!

Only saw it from the outside but it was underwhelming? Maybe next time I actually try to walk inside.

A must see. Awesome show. No pix allowed. Pricey but with it. Nudity and a large snake are involved.

World famous cabaret bar located in Montmartre. Tickets are very expensive, especially for the good seats down the front. Watch out when leaving the venue as late at night there can be a fair few prostitutes and pickpockets on the surrounding streets.

My friends and I had the best time here. The show was definitely worth the money and is a must if you're in Paris. Book in advance for cheaper tickets.

Local from Paris, France

La Belle Epoque [The Beautiful Period] couldn't have been a better time for Moulin Rouge to make its Paris debut. Respite between two wars from the late 19th to early 20th centuries was the catalyst for the explosion of fun and frivolity that put Mouilin Rouge at the heart of every pleasure seekers existence. Eccentrics, artists and performers shared tables with the middle classes, aristocrats and socialites at this den of debauchery. Since opening its doors in 1889, a steady flow of wide-eyed visitors come here to re-live its glory days. Who can resist the swirl of jovial music, seamless choreography and flamboyant costumes, all the while knocking back glass after glass of sparkling champagne? Booking advised.

I came here in day time. No chance to see it's beautiful at night. There are many bars and S&M stores along the street. Well, I think this place is men's heaven.

I don't know what one can say about this place. It's famous for the type of shows that it does, and there is no place on Earth better at it. If you are prudish, stay away. If not, come and enjoy a great night with wild entertainment that's really well done.

a place which was at its heyday during the Belle Époque period. it's still a entertainment venue today. popularised in pop culture, the moulin rouge has maintained much of its decor from days gone by.

The district of the Moulin Rouge and Montmartre is just 15 minutes from the apartment. You will find the neighborhood at night, but also at the top of the Montmartre village life spirit of old France near the Sacré-Coeur with its artists offering you to draw you. And these beautiful terraces in a family friendly spirit still

The theater is smaller than its main rival Lido but the show is equally entertaining, colorful and lively .

While the Moulin Rouge itself is somewhat pricey and packed with tourists, it is also a very historical spot. Take a walk by to see the famous facade, but be advised that it is not on a family-friendly street.
