I love the beach and the community. Great little bars and restaurants are convenient to the beach. And the sunsets are beautiful here.

A nice beach to relax and enjoy. Place is spacious for big groups and parties. I would recommend to come when the sun sets to see the beautiful glow.

A great way to lose weight and obtain a degree of spiritual Bliss is to walk along the gorgeous beaches of Oceanside north towards the Oceanside pier. Observe and admire the many surfers and body surfers braving the cold water for a few waves. The many varieties of small birds that grace and hug the shoreline searching for food or a constant source of entertainment and delight. Always puts me in a very spiritual and blissful state of mind!

I've been coming to this beach since I was a kid. Free parking near the pier. It's fun to get a fire pit and hang out all day then light a fire at dark. Nice waves.

This is a fun beach to visit in the weekends. There's always people here on the weekends but if you go exploring along the coast, you'll eventually find a peaceful area.

Unless you're in North County San Diego, I feel like not may people come up to frequent Oceanside Beach but that's too bad since it's a great beach spot and as good as any other beach in San Diego to enjoy summer sun, games, and the normal beach activities that you might be looking for (Volleyball, bocce, etc.) Parking can be tricky depending on what day and time of day you come to visit but that's to be expected at any San Diego beach. Lots of shops and restaurants in this area so if you come to visit, you will have other attractions close by to see! :)

Oceanside Beach is a classic West Coast beach complete with a boardwalk, pier, lots of open sand space, nearby beach town restaurants and shops, and it's one of the only beaches with built in bonfire pits. The coastline is razor-straight with a shallow sand shelf that makes the waves mellow enough for beginner surfers and children on boogie boards. Enjoy nearby parks along the boardwalk with restrooms, picnic tables, barbecues, volleyball nets, and an excellent children's playground by the pier. Parking at Oceanside beaches is a mix of free, paid, metered and private (for slip holders in the marina). Remember to check the signs carefully before choosing a spot as much of them are time-limited.

We make it practically an annual tradition to have bonfires here, and always have for as long as I can remember. Other than being a super "local's spot," this beach isn't all that fab. It's a seedy area, often smells like trash and urine (in the alleys and walkways), and full of colorful local characters. (Ahem.) But, its also popular with families and often crowded, so safety isn't a major issue.

So I know I've been doubling up as the beach and the pier are one in the same. But there's more sitting for picnicking and a much longer walk along the beach.

Oceanside Beach is probably my favorite beach in all of San Diego. There's a dog beach down south, and there's plenty of places to park your care and relax. But this place has one of the wider strips of sand, a nice sidewalk to walk along, and it has fire pits.

There's also really nice hotels and time shares that are right on the beach instead of a block or two away. I highly recommend the Southern California Beach Club. If you can't get in there, there's a couple more just across the street right near the pier.

On a warm, sunny weekend, this beach is packed. Granted, there's plenty of room to plant your umbrella or walk around. There are a lot of kids, but I didn't notice any dogs on the beach which is good to avoid a mishap. The best part of this beach is the fact it's such an easy drive. No canyon roads, and while parking does cost a little, it's still an easy park, as well.

I miss having bonfires at the Oceanside beach :] I grew up with this beach, now that my son is here I want to have reminiscing pictures of him compared to mine :] it's a family oriented beach. If you go to the pier, there is licensed fishing as well as a Rubys location if you happen to be craving burgers and shakes. Nearby is also 333 Pacific, they have a vodka lounge and great happy hour! Their calamari is so delicious!

Fun beach, easy to get to on the sprinter, and good for families. Kind of a seedy place after dark, but a haven for trendsters and hippies. I like the shops around the village.

This is the best beach in town. from the pier to the harbor and beyond its just good beach. There are various levels of waves depending on where you go and there are even bonfire pits and tables. there's good free parking and places to check out inland from the water.

This has been my favorite beach for my entire life. Even at its busiest, it's relatively quiet, at least north of the pier. Every since a flood some twenty years ago, the beach has struggled to survive. That doesn't stop it from having awesome sand, perfect waves, a lot of wildlife, and immeasurable character.

Love the beaches up here especially before summer crowds. The strand is a nice little spot with a small parking lot. Waves are pretty big here but location can be more perfect.
