Nice place for a walk on a sunny day. Plenty going on, with market stalls, Ferris wheel, rope course and zip wire.

There are always fun events around the area. If not, you can always relax on the benches, especially under foggy weather or light rain!

Known officially as L’International des Feux Loto-Québec, the Montreal Fireworks Festival is the most prestigious and largest fireworks competition in the world. It is an annual international competition held in Montreal, Quebec, Canada since 1985. The event begins in June and carries on until August. Each summer, several pyrotechnical companies from different countries present a 30-minute long pyromusical show. Gold, Silver and Bronze Jupiter trophies are awarded to the winners. The Jupiters have become symbols of prestige within the fireworks industry. See the festival's Hall of Fame. The fireworks are synchronized to music which is also broadcast over a local radio station. Over 3 million spectators gather each year to see the fireworks. The main viewing locations are: the Jacques-Cartier Bridge (closed to traffic the evening of each event), La Ronde (amusement park), and on either side of the St. Lawrence River. La Ronde is also a great place to view from. To learn more and which pariuular countries show when:

If you want a little European feel head here! Bonus, it's next door to China town. In the winter there's maple products, events and ice sculptures near place Jacques Cartier, plus a skating rink with music. There's something for everyone. Fashion studios, art galleries, food, science center, museums. A lot packed in a small space. Keep walking West and there's great historical architecture. Or take your bike across to view the city!

Great spot to visit on a trip to Montreal. Take a walk down along water and take a look at where the ships used to come into the city.

Beautiful place right on the waterfront. Great place to take a stroll or ride a bike and enjoy the view if the river. They also have the cirque du soleil shows here. It's in the same area as Old Montreal so you can't miss it.

The Old Port is a beautiful place. I went there in winter when it had like -20 Celsius. So everything (even the water) was frozen, and it looked really beautiful. We found a place there, where you can do ice skating. was really fun

We were fortunate enough to have fantastic weather. We sat on the port for a while watching boaters and ships. The port itself is beautiful - highly recommended.
