artistic vibe. When walking down the streets of The Plateau you will find it to be a warm and welcoming neighborhood with friendly locals and lots of local cafes and shops. It is common to see artist performing a street show or a group of debating intellectuals gathered at a side walk cafe. Spend the day exploring the quaint architecture or lounging on the vast green spaces then get a bite of dinner and witty conversation at one of the many local restaurants.

The perfect mix of green space and trend - the two things that would sum up The Plateau district of Montreal. My place is located right in the heart of this great neighbourhood, with its numerous restaurants ranging from Argentinian to Zambian food and artsy and artisanal boutiques not found in other parts of our glorious city. Take a stroll down St-Denis to Mount-Royal and stop for mouth-watering croissants and lattés - not to be missed!

If you're visiting Montreal, you MUST visit the "Plateau" neighbourhood. Particularly if you're the sort of person who would hang out in Brooklyn or Shoreditch... if you catch my drift. The streets (and residents) are filled with character and the coffee shops are plentiful!

One of the nicest area in Montreal, walk around the streets, have a brunch in the morning and a lovely restaurant at night. The west side of St Denis on Mont Royal takes you to the portuguese community where you can enjoy wonderful chicken and natas. Go up north to St Laurent where you will end up in another great area: Mile-End.

The Plateau is a formerly working class neighbourhood of Quebecois and Jewish inhabitants made famous in the works of novelist Mordecai Richler, but now it is considered the hippest neighbourhood in Montreal.

The Plateau features brightly-coloured houses, cafés, book shops, and some great places to eat.

Every city has a Plateau. It's the young, trendy, and hipster part of town. The essential restaurants and bars are here: Dieu du Ciel, Fairmount Bagels, L'Express, Cheval Blanc, etc. You could spend your entire stay in just in the Plateau.

A neighborhood that's worth visiting if you are from out of town. Many many options for restaurants and bars, with St-Laurent, St-Denis, Mont-Royal streets being the main places to hang around. It is easy to get around as buses and the metro will take you there. Full of little hole in the walls waiting to be discovered.
