Classic old-world bistro where you can watch the parade of local, well-heeled elites enjoying the French-inspired menu. To food is very good as is the service, but for me, the experience was more about the setting and the people populating it.
Bistro de Luxe is arguably the classiest place to eat in Minsk. The atmosphere is simultaneously polished and cozy, with a sunlight main room, black and white checkered floors and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. When I travel, I normally like to vary up places to eat, but ended up coming here three times in two weeks for breakfast, which is served till midday. The coffee is impeccably smooth and delicious, and the pouched eggs were decadent. For a Belarusian touch, I also ordered the delicious cottage cheese and fruit filled blinis. Unlike most places in Belarus, the staff here also speak English.
