Have I mentioned this is like my favorite Filipino bbq places in all of LA, the food here is bomb and especially their cornbread which is to die for. The place has great bbq and almost everything on the menu is amazing. Their Mac and cheese is cheesy and delicious. Their Wednesday deal is pretty good cuz it comes with almost everything for you to try at like $13.

The Cornbread Bibingka is TO DIE FOR! We always end up finishing our first order BEFORE our meal, then getting another one for dessert. Tri-tip and the chicken are our go-to meats, and Elote always for our side dish. YUM!

A table for one is easy enough. Menu is simple as I already know what I want to get. The beef ribs is always my first choice over pork ribs at any BBQ joint. I'm not even sure if I saw the beef rib on the Food Channel when they showed what all The Park's Finest has to offer since everyone orders pork ribs. To my surprise at how the beef short rib is presented, I would say this is a great way to be spoiled. You really don't have to pick up this short rib to eat all of the meat off the bone. Perfectly sliced in every way possible and you can continue with a fork and knife. I still picked it up and ate the rest of the meat off the bone. I ordered the elote which looks a lot like mac 'n cheese. A huge helping of white rice or else this isn't a Filipino BBQ place.

Reasonable priced barbecue in Echo Park. They have a great selection of craft beers on tap.

WEnt here since a friend saw it featured on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. It's a cool little filipino spot with some serious BBQ. We came in late on a Saturday with no reservations and had to wait about 35 minutes for a table. It was packed. Parking was an issue but we found a spot eventually.

They have a great beer selection and we were able to watch the Bulls and GS game on the tv while we waited. The food was pretty amazing. Here's the rundown:

Bibingka Cornbread: simply phenomenal! It was jsut so sweet and just so grainy. It was perfect. Although $5 for three small pieces is kind of steep. Doesn't matter though since this is a must get item whenever I return.

Coconut Beef: Flavor profile and sauce was on point but the beef was a bit rubbery. Maybe it was a little overcooked? I'd try it again if I went with someone new.

TriTip: Decent but overshadowed by the last dish.

Beef Rib: This was all sorts of awesome. It was fatty and charred and just perfectly cooked. I would come back just for this (oh and the cornbread!) since it was remarkable and really lets the place shine in it's BBQ prowess. The only qualm I had was with the price. I mean who charges market price for beef? One albeit huge rib cost over $35.

Another thing that stands out about this place is the homemade bbq sauce. It's kinda spicy, kinda sweet and very unique.

I am definitely coming back to this place and would recommend you try it out.

Great traditional and contemporary interpretations of Filipino foods. Real chill vibe and home grown flavors. Definitely a blend of mom&pop and LA feels.

The Park’s Finest BBQ was featured on Diners, Drive in and Dives. My wife saw it and asked me if we could go. Where is it? L A. That’s a long drive from the OC. She said ‘Go watch it on YouTube”. Why? It’s Filipino BBQ, Whaaat? Let’s GO!

Parking is an issue here. Street parking only. There are a few spots up front. Unfortunately, you'll need to find one nearby probably, this place was packed. We ended up a block away by the freeway.

It's small and tight inside. It’s on the dark side. They have a flat screen on the wall (football, Yes)

We had to wait about 20 minutes (on a Sunday at 2:10 pm) which was not too bad. They had a waiting area outside Benches going around the end, by the entrance. It was nice to sit down while waiting.

Here's the rundown:
Pork Ribs and Riblets - The dry rub was okay. The meat wasn't tender and didn't separate from the bone. On the dry side, which I didn't mind. What I did mind was the BBQ sauce. They offer two, a BBQ sauce (on the sweet side) and a vinegar sauce. Both not to my liking. Pass on this dish.

Spicy Longanisa Sausage - the first bite had a kick to it, but after that it was not noticeable. It wasn't the best longanisa I've had that's for sure. Again another okay dish.

Coconut Beef - smoky beef chunks with coconut curry sauce. Now we're talking. I enjoyed this one. Something different and it was very tender and tasty. Yum!!

Bibingka Cornbread - The WINNER. Best dish we got here. It was moist and super delicious. If I only had this, I would be happy

Service was just okay. A bit slow, but understandable. Did I mention it was packed. Lol. They were very friendly and helpful.

Price: it was reasonable.

A highly touted Filipino restaurant serving BBQ of all things. I wish I could give it more stars, but it missed the mark for me.

High quality Filipino food! Can't go wrong! Prices can be cheaper & portions could be more, however.

I found out about this place from Guy Fieri's food network show and I must say, The Park's Finest in Echo Park is TOO LEGIT!!! A nice, casual, homey little restaurant that only used to do catering. Went here with my big bro and ordered the tri tip and the coconut beef; with rice and a side of cornbread bibinka. Meats were juicy and tasted excellent! the cornbread was bomb! For dessert, we split an ube leche flan...whoever thought of fusing ube into leche flan is a genius! it was so creamy and sweet! The service and turn around of food was great also! only complaint was the fly that kept buzzing around, but that twist actually made it authentic as if eating in a little diner in the Philippines. haha! I'd return first chance I get.

GET the bibinka cornbread! It's so good. It's 4 dollars and you get 3 pieces. I would definitely just go here for the cornbread. We also got the tri trip which was just average. But the service is really good and its in an area that has plenty of street parking, which is awesome!

You can put that glorious sauce on anything. On pasta, on ramen, on ribs, on lamb, goat, ox, llama, rabbit, on cardboard. On anything!

Hidden place in Historic Filipino town, a Filipino BBQ joint. The cornbread here is especially tasty, and the BBQ is quite good - ribs and rib tips, and sausage were the ones we ordered. The corn is GREAT - with mayo and topped with cheese, an excellent side dish. And no Filipino meal would be complete without white rice. Service is prompt, restaurant is very clean, plenty of street parking.

I have had The Park's Finest bookmarked for some time and I was finally able to try it this past weekend. I'm Filipino and I love BBQ, so this seemed like a great place to try. I brought my mom with me and we both loved it!

Parking:
I did not see any private lots, but street parking was very easy to find when we went there (Saturday Afternoon).

Service:
The service was great! Everyone is helpful and attentive. They were more than happy to answer any questions regarding their menu.

Food:
The food was delicious. Everything is served a la carte, so you end up ordering quite a bit of food if you want to try everything. This place is definitely good for groups because that way you could try a variety of meats. I literally wanted to order everything, but settled on...

Tritip - Tender and Juicy!

Hot Links - A mixture of several types of hot links, each one having its own unique flavor and texture. All were delicious when combined with their sauces.

Cornbread Bibingka- Very original! I love babingka and the thought of combining it with cornbread is great! A great way to get that Filipino influence on the menu. Not too sweet and moist.

Pork Ribs and Riblets - Delicious smoked ribs and rib tips. Again great when accompanied with their sauce and some rice. Especially good if you like that soft cartilage at the end of the ribs. I don't eat that stuff, but I have friends that love it more than the meat itself . I think they're crazy! But more for them!

...and of course steamed Rice.

They have two types of sauce a sweet one and a vinegar based sauce. Both are very good! I like mixing the two, because I think they compliment each other nicely.

Overall, everything was tasty. I wouldn't mind eating her again!
