The name Los Angeles often evokes glamorous images of Hollywood stars and sunny beaches. Although you can definitely find plenty of sun, sand, and even the occasional celebrity, there is much more to LA than meets the eye. There is never a shortage of things to do in the many neighborhoods and smaller towns that make up the county that contains the ... Read more
second biggest city in the US. Among the most famous attractions are the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the many beaches along the Pacific Coast Highway, Beverly Hill’s Rodeo Drive (good for people watching if you’re an aspiring paparazzi), and the unmistakable Hollywood Sign. Further afield, Universal Studios draws big crowds of locals and tourists alike, with its famous studio tours and theme park rides. Top-notch restaurants and hotels can be found all over SoCal. Downtown LA has seen a recent resurgence as a commercial area, although it offers little excitement for daytime visitors. The vibrant neighborhoods of Westwood, Santa Monica, West Hollywood and Pasadena remain hotspots for dining and nightlife. Although choice of cuisines run the gamut, the city is renowned for its Mexican food and sushi. For ethnic food, head to enclaves like Koreatown or Little Ethiopia, which offer fare from around the world.

Summer brings crowds to Los Angeles, booking up hotels along the coast and restaurants in the city. From September to May the area is less crowded, and the air less smoggy, though you may encounter the hot, dry ... Read more
Santa Ana winds. Headed to the beach? Don't go in June when the 'June Gloom' makes the beaches cold and foggy for most of the morning. The coast is always a bit cooler than inland (head to Santa Monica and not Hollywood if you want a breeze). Whatever time of year you go, however, you can leave your down coat at home.

I love LA! So many sights to see. Delicious Mexican food can be found everywhere! Great shopping centres.

Weather is great not too hot and not too cold and lots and lots to do. Traffic in LA sucks and San Diego nightlife is awesome!

Great time for those looking to explore the tourist side of Los Angeles, the laid back chill of Santa Monica or the glam of Beverly Hills.

Howlin is the best chicken you will ever have hands down. Yes the line does suck but....deal with it. The chicken goes from no spice to kill you levels! Seriously the sandwich is life changing

The City is awesome and the people are very open to talking with you. It has also many opportunities to go shopping or just sit in a cafe and relax. Finding some restaurants to eat is also not that difficult and at nearly every corner is a Starbucks!!

I stayed in a cute historical inn in Pasadena. There are lots of other communities like it with great walkability and transit (I did not rent a car). Best of all there are a million things to do from mountain to ocean, all within 1.5/2 hours or less.
